Join the Menil Collection for an afternoon of interactive performance in conjunction with Walter De Maria: Boxes for Meaningless Work as the museum’s main building is activated by artists and musicians interpreting and realizing rarely presented scores and experimental actions inspired by the work of Walter De Maria and his peers in the New York City avant-garde scene of the 1960s.

Pianist Pablo Martinez and soprano Shannon Murray participate in a showcase recital with piano students at Cathedral of Our Lady of Walshingam. After working with Dr. Martinez, students from Shannon Murray’s piano studio share the stage with the two accomplished performers and pedagogues.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage
A Little Day Music is a series of free concerts presented at noon on the first Wednesday of the month in the Grand Foyer of the Wortham Center. Each concert is designed to deliver DACAMERA’s signature programming to an audience including senior citizens, downtown professionals and students. The series features a variety of chamber music and jazz, presented in an accessible, one-hour concert format. Audiences are invited to enjoy their lunch while listening to the music.
